1. Read Eph. 6:13-14. Why do you think the first piece of armor is a belt?

2. What are some reasons you wear a belt?

3. Do you think any of these relate to putting on this particular belt? Why or Why not?

4. How does the description of the Roman soldier's belt add to your understanding of the spiritual belt?

5. Why might we need to hang other elements of armor on the belt of truth?

6. How does truth give you greater freedom of movement in the spiritual battle?

7. Is there any area of your life in which you need stability?

8. What makes this area of life feel so out of control?

9. How could truth provide stability to that particular situation?

c. numbers 23:19

d. I Samuel 15:29

11. What theme do they all have in common?

12. Why is it important to believe that God will not -and -cannot -lie?

13. Read John 17:17. What did Jesus pray would be the effect of the truth?

14. What image comes to your mind when you read the word sanctify?
