THE WAY OF SALVATION

The Bible gives us six (6) Basic Steps To Salvation

1. HEARING the Full Gospel.

2. BELIEVING the Gospel.

3. REPENTANCE from Sins.

4. BAPTISM in the Name of Jesus.

5. BAPTISM of The Holy Ghost.

6. MAINTAINING Good Works.

HEARING THE FULL GOSPEL

The first step to salvation is one must HEAR the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To hear, brings us in contact with God. It puts us in the position to believe and know God. If a person does not believe in God, he will not come unto God.

Heb. 11:6

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Now I want to address the point in Romans 10:12-17.

"For there is no difference between the Jew and Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

These two verse emphasize the point that there is no respecter of persons with God. Both Jew and Gentile , Black and White, Male and Female must be saved the same way. (acts 10:34-35, 11:14-18, 15:7-11).

Romans 10:14-15

"How then shall they "CALL ON" him in whom they have "NOT BELIEVED"? and how shall they "BELIEVE IN" him o whom they have "NOT HEARD"? and how shall they hear without preacher? and ho shall they "PREACH" except they "BE SENT?"

"HOW SHALL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER"

From this scripture, we an see the necessity of having a preacher to tell u the word of God. The reason why many people are in darkness today is because of NOT HEARING the preacher. But every PREACHER who claims to be a preacher is not a preacher.

Jeremiah 23:21

"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: i have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied."

From this we can see that many preachers ho are preaching and God has not sent them.

John 3:34

" The preacher whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:"

If God has not sent a preacher, and the preacher goes forth, he will not speak God's Word, but his own.

Deuteronomy 18:20-22

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. and if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously; thou shall not be afraid of him." (Deut. 13:-5)

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS (Matt. 7:15-16)

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"

The reason why there are so many churches and false religions today is because there are so many false teacher and preachers.

Matt.24:4-5, 11, 24-25

Jesus said, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall rise, and shall deceive many. For there shall rise false Christ's, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before."

We are not to follow signs and wonders for false prophets use miracles to deceive people. 

Matt. 7:22-23

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils/ and in thy name have done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them. I never knew you you depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

II Cor. 11:13-15

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

II Thess. 2:3, 9-10

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;.....even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

Revelation 13:13-14

From this we see that the devils work miracles. God used signs and wonders in the land of Egypt by the hand of Moses. devils did also by the hands of the magicians of Egypt. (Ex. Chapter 7).

In our day, we have the same encounters as Moses day.

II Tim. 3:6-8

"For this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. now Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith."
